(Washington, DC) -- Attorney General Eric Holder confirms the Justice Department is considering possible federal charges against George Zimmerman. A Florida jury acquitted Zimmerman Saturday in the shooting death of 17-year old Trayvon Martin last year. Holder called the shooting tragic and unnecessary and said justice must be done. He also remarked that the U.S. should not shy away from emotionally-charged issues. Federal charges could involve possible hate crimes violations. Earlier, the White House said President Obama will not involve himself in the decision about federal charge against Zimmerman.
